C’est Magnifique! That’s what I think of when I think of Frech women. Don’t they seem to get everything right? Effortless fashion, glowing skin, just makes me swoon. Now I love fashion like any girl but am also very aware of its impact both on the chemicals used in makeup and the culture of fast fashion. But that’s not what this blog is about. I’ll save that for another time. 🙂 For this blog post, I want to show you how easy it is to get these looks without using conventional makeup brands filled with synthetic ingredients.
Paris Fashion Week just wrapped up and I noticed a few trends that we can look forward to this summer are ya ready? Qui!
Trend 1: The Blotted Lip
We’re going to say good-bye to the lined lip and opt for a messy, blotted look. Super simple to achieve. Using a bright lipstick, smudge the colour into your lips making sure you give the edges a kind of diffused look. Then blot is down using a tissue to achieve the final look. Ilia offers a wide range of bold options to achieve this look perfectly.
Trend 2: Bottom Eyelash
It’s time to accentuate the whole eye, so that means using lots of mascara on the bottom lashes and even adding a few false eyelashes, my mother did this is the sixties and she always looked amazing. Don’t be afraid to go for it, it will really make the eye pop. Battington Eye Lashes are made from silk, easy to apply and look really really good. They don’t have individual lashes, you will have to cut them into to smaller sections to place on the lower brow.
Trend 3: Glitter Eyelids
Go bold with a little glitter, but keep the rest of the look sleek and simple. Apply the colour to the whole lid for a dramatic effect. RMS has a line-up of bold, glittered eye shadows that will get it done beautifully.
Trend 4: Surf Girl Beach Wave
This style never goes out of style. It’s really one of my fav’s. There are many ways to achieve this look, for my naturally curly hair, its wash and dry naturally and of course spraying it with the right products. The Frech Girl Organics Sea Spray is my top pick, its a texturizing spray made with 3 varieties of organic sea salt and nourishing essential oils to leave hair with an effortless, tousled look yet soft, touchable feel.
Conclusion: Paris Fashion Week offered up a lot of really out there looks, from punk to beach waves, there was really something for everyone. Which look do you like the best?
